ADVANTAGES FOR PLAYERS & COLLEGES

  1. It's free and easy to use

Every person who joins the Pass2Me social network automatically has a Player Profile built into your account. Start your account, and from your Profile Page, you can manage your Groups, Fan Pages and Friends. You can make your Profile Page searchable and viewable to Verified College Officials. Verified College Officials are coaches and recruiters officially affiliated with a college soccer program, and are individually verified by the Pass2Me team.

  2. We fused social networking with college recruiting

We've created a Player Profile on Pass2Me that you can access through your regular Pass2Me Profile page.

As part of the Pass2Me social network, you can "socialize" your Player Profile Page and get the word out more efficiently to college coaches whenever you update your profile or want to communicate about a new video clip or evaluation that has been posted.

By having your Player Profile Page as part of your social networking profile on Pass2Me, you can now connect to colleges better. Your Profile Page is the place to keep all your player information, profile, evaluations, videos - everything a college coach would want to know about you as a player - and keep all members of your Page (college coaches, scouts, parents, club coaches) updated through our automatic notification system that sends out emails & text messages. No more remembering to email college coaches or searching through your email inbox for messages. Every time you update your Profile Page (post a video, upload your resume or transcript, share a photo, update your college profile, add a new event to your calendar, or have a new Player Evaluation posted) you can notify everyone in your group (members can include club coaches, parents, college coaches, etc.)

You can also better connect through Pass2Me's College Search system. College Search allows you to search, contact and keep in touch with Verified College Officials on Pass2Me, as well as reach out and find out more about any college through our database of college websites. College Search allows you to invite college coaches to your page, or invite them to keep track of your page, or update them on your status. For those coaches not already on Pass2Me, you can contact any coach or program and invite them to join Pass2Me to view your profile and information.

  3. Pass2Me is NCAA Compliant

View our NCAA Compliance FAQ section below.
Verified College Officials can view everything on your Profile Page. In order to take full advantage of our notifications and communications benefits, they should join your Profile Page as a member. NCAA Div I Coaches will not be able to join your Player Page until September 1 of your junior year though. However, you can always send an internal message within Pass2Me to let them know of any updates and they can view your Profile Page anytime. And you can be searched through Player Search - either by the player information you provide, or by Events you have posted on your page, or by your Player Evaluations.

  4. The Pass2Me Team has personally verified every College Official.

All Verified College Officials viewing your Player Page are verified by Pass2Me and receive the "Verified" logo when their identity and position is confirmed.

  5. We're a soccer-only platform, so our features are tailored exclusively for soccer players and coaches.

We are a social media site just for soccer users, and our college recruiting services are designed specifically for soccer and no other sports. Pass2Me was created by players, coaches, admins, and agents who have extensive experience in all levels of the game, from youth to adult and from novice to professional. Our Player and College features were designed using the collective insights of those with a comprehensive knowledge of the college soccer recruiting process: club coaches, college coaches, former college players, and college recruiters. The end result is that every element of the Player Profile Page is optimized for soccer players and is useful for colleges and for players.

NCAA Compliance FAQs

What are the NCAA compliance rules regarding contact and communication between College Coaches and Prospective Players on Pass2Me? How can College Coaches track Players and get information and updates on the Player’s Pass2Me Player Profile Page, especially if it’s before September 1 of the Player’s junior year of high school? Read our FAQs below ...

Question: There are a lot of college recruiting and profile sites. Why Pass2Me?
Answer: Pass2Me has the unique status of being a social network designed specifically for soccer (teams, coaches, players, admins, fans, parents, professionals) that also has an extensive college recruiting feature attached to it. We have brought together the advantages and efficiency of communicating of networking to the college recruiting process. We’re also a general soccer social networking site, so you only need one account to communicate with everyone in your soccer network: your team, coaches, teammates, friends, colleagues, parents
Question: I've heard that college coaches can only contact the player through the private Message function (like sending an Email) of a social network. And if so, when can they do so?
Answer: NCAA Div I coaches cannot post on the walls/pages of the prospect ever but they can use the direct message function following Sept. 1 of the player’s junior year of high school.
Question: Can college coaches "friend" a prospective player on Pass2Me, become a member of their Player Profile Page, or become a member/fan of the player's Fan Page or Group page?
Answer: Yes, they can do all of those things but not until after Sept. 1 of the player’s junior year in high school (if the school is an NCAA Div I program).
Question: But -- Pass2Me Fan pages are open/public and don't require permission to join (anyone can do so anytime), so if a college coach joined a prospect's page, he/she would not be contacting the player directly, just following their progress by getting notifications whenever a player updates their page. If a college coach did this just to "follow" a prospect’s progress without contacting them is this OK at anytime?
Answer: The college coach could only start following the Fan Pages (as a member/fan) after Sept. 1 of the prospect's junior year of high school (if the school is an NCAA Div I program).
Question: Can a college coach join a prospect's Pass2Me Player Profile Page (a closed group where the player has to invite/accept/permit people into the group) to get information on the player - videos, college profile, etc.? If so, is there a rule about what date they can start doing this? They wouldn't have to "directly" contact the player (except to request to join the page, or perhaps when they accept an invite from the player to join the group).
Answer: Joining, friending, following are all permitted by the NCAA for Div I programs but not until after Sept. 1 of the prospect's junior year of high school. This may get loosened up in the future but that's where things stands right now.
Question: If it's before September 1 of a prospect's junior year of high school, how can an NCAA Div I college coach use Pass2Me to find out more information or stay updated about a prospect?
Answer: Even though a college coach cannot "join" the prospect's Pass2Me Player Profile Page, they can use the Search Players function to find players, and Player Analysis Pages to save players to a page where they and their coaching staff can analyze, compare and assess these players. College coaches can create one Player Analysis Page with different Subsets of Players for different graduation years, check this list anytime, add their comments & notes, and add/remove players. All the prospect’s pertinent info, including graduation year, is listed, so after Sept. 1 of the player’s junior year, NCAA Div I college coaches can immediately request to join the Player Profile Page of a prospect (or players can invite coaches).
Question: What is the advantage of joining a prospective player's Player Profile Page if a Verified College Official can view any College page contents anytime?
Answer: Although Pass2Me Verified College Officials have access to view a prospective player’s Player Profile Page anytime without having to be a member of that page, being a member enables coaches to better interact, communicate and keep track of a prospect. Being a member of the Player Profile Page enables college coaches to receive texts on the cell phone (for wall posts), email notifications, and alerts on their Pass2Me page when a prospect updates their wall, college profile or an upcoming event (like a tournament where they can be scouted), adds a video or document to their media section, or the player's club or high school coach posts a Player Evaluation.
Question: OK, I understand that all social media "contact" can't happen until after Sept 1 of Junior Year for NCAA Div I programs reaching out to prospective players. But college coaches want to check out profiles of players that are online. Can the college coach "bookmark" the player's name and then visit the page whenever they choose (no notifications or prompting to get them there; they are not officially a friend/member/fan of that Player Profile Page)? Can they do this anytime?
Answer: As long as it is just for viewing purposes, it's ok for coaches to do at any time.
Question: Is a college coach connected to the student athletes in any way if he/she joins Pass2Me and if so how exactly are they connected?
Answer: Once you join as a member of Pass2Me, you are part of a social network that anyone can join. If you "Friend" a player, or join their "Group" page, or "Fan Page", then you are "making contact" or "connected" to them.
Question: If a college coach accepts any friend request is there a generated note or message that could go out to any potential student athletes saying something like "College Coach Bob has accepted your friend request." On some social media websites if you accept a friend or group there could be a message going out to everyone in that group.
Answer: If you accept a Friend Request from someone, that user we will receive a notification. But it will only notify that user, and NOT anyone else or all of that user’s friends. Same with joining a Group page - if you accept an invitation from the admin/owner of the group, then they will get a notification. But Pass2Me won't notify other group members.
Question: NCAA Div I college coaches can follow a prospective player on Twitter but can't publicly Tweet back to them. Is this rule applicable any time or are they free to Tweet back after Sept. 1 of the prospective player's junior year of high school?
Answer: It is applicable any time - it's a publicity issue, not a written correspondence issue.
Question: What if I have additional questions?
Answer: Please contact college@pass2me.com

YOU, BEING AWARE OF SAID CODE SECTION, HEREBY EXPRESSLY WAIVE ANY RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE THEREUNDER, AS WELL AS UNDER ANY OTHER STATUES OR COMMON LAW PRINCIPLES OF SIMILAR EFFECT. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT THIS WAIVER IS AN ESSENTIAL AND MATERIAL TERM OF THIS AGREEMENT, AND THAT WITHOUT SUCH WAIVER, THIS AGREEMENT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ENTERED INTO BY PASS2ME.
